FACE WRINKLING AS A FUNCTION OF SURFACE WAVINESS

Abstract

An attempt was made to establish the correlation between surface waviness of honeycomb core panels and the face wrinkling attendant upon the panels when subjected to compressive forces. Tests were conducted with honeycomb sandwich edgewise compression specimens with controlled initial surface waviness.
