HERMETICALLY SEALED ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR.

Abstract

The ability to develop, design, and fabricate a true or single hermetically sealed foil tantalum electrolytic capacitor for operation in outer space was demonstrated by the successful performance of the final development hermetic ally sealed capacitors evaluated in accordance with the Signal Corps Test Plan SCL-6417, dated 7 November 1961. The compatibility of the materials used in the final design was further demonstrated in prototype units that have successfully completed 12,000 hours on test at 85 C with rated voltage applied.
