An Objective Aid for Forecasting Ceilings and Visibilities Less Than 500/1 at Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Abstract

The investigation was conducted to develop objective aids for forecasting critical values of ceilings and visibilities. The data sample used included all months for the years 1956 through 1960. The criteria to be met and the attached diagrams are self-explanatory and their use is discussed. A table is included which indicates the performance of this technique on the dependent data.
