MIDAS PROGRAMMING GUIDE,

Abstract

This report is intended to serve as a working manual for the MIDAS (Modified Integration Digital Analog Simulator) computer program that provides digital solutions on an IBM 7090 (7094) ucomputer for systems of ordinary differential equations. The program is primarily intended to be used for obtaining check solutions for analog computer simulations and this report is written from the viewpoint of an analog programmer. Since it features the use of floating point arithmetic and a variable step size integration routine, amplitude and time scaling are not required for the MIDAS solution. The check solution obtained via MIDAS can be used to provide this all-important information for the analog program. (Author)
