FLIGHT TEST EVALUATION OF THE P-177A AND TRU-54A PITOT-STATIC TUBES FOR THE C-141 AIRCRAFT,

Abstract

Evaluation of the data from the flight test programs proved that the P-177A and TRU-54 pitot-static tubes are aerodynamically suitable for use on the KC-135, C-141, and similar type aircraft. These tubes are designed to be installed on the side of the fuselage and have the static pressure ports located integrally on the circumference of the pitot tube, thus eliminating the need for separate fuselage flush mounted ports.
