ON LARGE DYNAMIC DEFORMATIONS OF GENERAL SHELLS,

Abstract

Equations are devised for the solution of large dynamic response of general three-dimensional shells of elastic-plastic materials. The equations are written in tensor form. The equivalent finite-difference expressions for the various quantities are presented. It is shown that the solution of the general shell problem involves exactly the same basic steps as that for twodimensional structures. (Author)
