COMPARISON OF EXPERIMENTAL AND THEORETICAL GAMMA RAY ALBEDO,

Abstract

An intercomparison is made between the results of Monte Carlo calculations and two independent experimental determinations of values for the differential dose albedo of gamma rays on concrete. The validity of a semiempirical formula for gamma-ray albedo is examined. Information is presented on the current status of our knowledge of gamma-ray albedo, and the direction of future work is indicated. (Author)
