U. S. ARMY CHEMICAL INFORMATION AND DATA SYSTEM.
Abstract
The current status is reported of the Army Chemical Information and Data System (CIDS), a part of the U. S. Army STINFO program. The background and chronological development of CIDS are presented along with the accomplishments and forecasts. Separate appendixes are devoted to details of Phase I, Development of Army Chemical Typewriter and Atom-by-Atom Structural Search Methods; Phase II, Development of Action Plan and Establishment of Central Processing Facility; Phase III, Communication and ADP Equipment; Phase IV, 'Software' for CIDS; and Phase V, Inventory of Army Chemical Data Holdings and Requirements. A sixth appendix summarizes participation by other than DoD agencies. (Author)
