AEROSPACE EXPANDABLE STRUCTURES

Abstract

Thirty two papers are presented in which work efforts on the design, packaging, materials selection, fabrication, deployment, rigidizing and testing of expandable (including rigid, inflatable and collapsible) structures are reported. Structures covered include: space station and extraterrestrial shelters, communications satellites, space vehicle devices, telescoping structures, balloons, solar collectors, rentry vehicles, and assorted scientific payloads.
