BALLISTIC PROTECTIVE BUOYANCY MATERIALS.

Abstract

Both the buoyant and ballistic effectiveness of felts prepared from the 1.0 denier acrylic staple fibers which had been commercially pre-hydrophobed were evaluated in the laboratory. Compartmented felts of the pre-hydrophobed 1.0 denier acrylic fibers were prepared on a commercial scale by several textile processors. (Author)
