DEVELOPMENT OF A TRANSISTOR DELIVERING AN OSCILLATOR OUTPUT OF 250 MILLIWATTS AT 1.5 GIGACYCLES.

Abstract

Studies were conducted to obtain a better understanding of the theory of operation of power oscillators. A normalized power output curve versus normalized frequency for single and dual element devices was developed. The reasons for minor modifications in pattern geometry are discussed. A detailed fabrication procedure for ther germanium planar devices is presented. The results of parametric and functional measurements on assembled devices are presented. The final coaxial header design, conclusions based on second quarter activities, and the proposed third quarter activities conclude the report. (Author)
