LARGE AIRBORNE LOG PERIODIC DIPOLE ARRAY ANTENNA,

Abstract

A broadband, horizontally polarized, log periodic dipole array antenna was developed. The antenna is operated over a 6.0:1 frequency band with a VSWR of less than 3.0:1 referred to 72 ohms, and it provides a radiation pattern gain greater than 7 db compared to an isotropic source.
