A FORTRAN PROGRAM TO CALCULATE A BALLISTIC MISSILE TRAJECTORY FROM LAUNCH OR ANY POINT THEREAFTER TO IMPACT,

Abstract

This program computes a two-dimensional, point mass ballistic trajectory from any point, either during burning or after burnout, to any point thereafter to impact. The program takes into account air resistance and the variation of the gravitational field with altitude. It uses a system of co-ordinates (X and Y) with the origin at the starting point of the trajectory. The program is written in FORTRAN IV for the IBM 7040 computer. (Author)
