DESICCATING BARRIERS FOR MILITARY PACKAGING. 1 NOVEMBER 1963,

Abstract

This report covers work performed during a one year period of the contract. A study was made to develop new and superior packaging systems and materials capable of producing a dehumidified or moisture controlled atmosphere similar to that presently produced at a lower cost and greater efficiency. Three fundamental approaches were examined in detail The method showing greatest promise of meeting all the design targets consists of a two part barrier system, one opaque and the other transparent.
