AN ANALYSIS OF SOME ASPECTS OF THE WENOGRAD THERMAL STABILITY EXPERIMENT,

Abstract

An analysis was made of some aspects of the Wenograd experimental technique for investigating the thermal stability of explosives at high temperatures. A mathematical model of the experiment was formulated; the equations were solved numerically and investigated parametrically. Results indicated that first estimates of the activation energy and pre-exponential factor of the explosives can be obtained from analysis of the experimental data. (Author)
