PRELIMINARY OBSERVATIONS ON THE REVERSAL OF HYPOVOLEMIA WITH INTRAVENOUS FAT EMULSION,

Abstract

Preliminary data indicate that intravenous administration of commercial fat emulsions containing 15% cottonseed oil following experimental hypovolemia in dogs, may have a potentiating effect on recovery. This effect may be related to the caloric content of the emulsion preparations. (Author)
