ACTIVE IMMUNIZATION OF A HUMAN AGAINST NAJA NAJA VENOM. A PRELIMINARY REPORT

Abstract

Seventeen injections of Indian cobra Naja Naja venom were administered to a human subject for the production of an active immunity. The development of a significant level of antivenin was demonstrated by neutralization tests. The immunization procedure produced no significant pathological effects.
