RESEARCH STUDIES OF HIGH-DENSITY PLASMAS.

Abstract

Preliminary experiments have been performed to determine the temperature in the high-density plasma using several spectroscopic techniques. Magnetic pressure and expansion speeds have established limits on the plasma energy states. Measurements of the resistivity of the pinched hydrogen high-density plasma have been started to determine the temperature of the pinched plasma. Scattering experiments of the laser beam from the high-density plasma will be continued. (Author)
