STRETCHING PULSES WITH THE LINK STRUCTURE,

Abstract

A theoretical and experimental study of a pulsestretching network using the link structure is presented. The Bessel filter has a good lowpass approximation to the ideal transmission line for use in the link structure. The 9ealization of the Bessel filter is presented, and the impedance matching problems in the plate and grid lines are considered. A practical structure for a pulsestretching network is formulated and used in taking photographs of a 5-ns input pulse and the resulting output pulse, whose tracings are presented in this paper.
