DETERMINATI>N OF MOMENTS OF INERTIA: A FACILITIES STUDY,
Abstract
The facilities for determination of mass moments of inertia of missiles at the Naval Missile Center have been examined in order to extend their capabilities to meet future requirements. Emphasis has been placed upon increasing the accuracy of the measurements and the weight and length of missiles which can be accommodated by the facility. It is concluded that the amount of manual manipulacion required for moment of inertia 4easurements can be reduced by improving che usefulness of present equipment. (Author)
