TENTATIVE PROCEDURES FOR MEASURING NEUTRON FLUX BY RADIOACTIVATION TECHNIQUES,

Abstract

A general method is described for measuring reactor neutron flux energy spectral parameters by means of materials activation. Nuclear properties of the materials such as cross sections and decay schemes, counting mechods and data analyses are disucssed. Particular attention is given to the use 6f uniform procedures for obtaining reproducible measurements. The use of resonance elements f6r meaburing the epithermal region, and so-called threshold detecto9s for a5alysis of the higher energies are described. (Author)
