DEPOSITION FORMING PROCESSES FOR AEROSPACE STRUCTURES.

Abstract

Nine deposition processes were reviewed with appropriate screening tests to determine their applicability for development as deposition forming processes. Program objectives were the development of deposition forming systems capable of producing complex aerospace components from alloys difficult to fabricate by conventional techniques. Electroforming, chemical vapor deposition, and an electrocombination process were selected. (Author)
