INVESTIGATION OF THE FLASHING OF AEROSOLS

Abstract

This program is concerned with determining flammability of aerosol systems. The liquid phase material has been purified and a method of obtaining the small range of particle sizes evaluated. The explosive detonation product gas mixture has been determined to be flammable over the range of 25 to 52.5 per cent by volume. It was found that very large concentrations of QL aerosol in this gas-mixture do not significantly change the flammability limits.
