A STUDY TO IMPROVE THE LOW-LEVEL METEOROLOGICAL SIMULATOR.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the model utilized in the Low-Level Meteorological Simulator previously developed for the Signal Corps, and to investigate extension of this model particularly with regard to inclusion of fog and low-level jet phenomena. The bulk of the project activities during the current reporting period was associated with simulation efforts, field activities devoted to high-response wind measurements, and completion of the data-processing portion of the Dallas Tower program. Details of these activities as well as those related efforts are reviewed. (Author)
