DEVELOPMENT OF A TRANSISTORIZED RESOLVER AMPLIFIER,

Abstract

A feasibility study of a high accuracy resolver system with interchangeable components was undertaken. As a result of this study a complete resolver system was developed, and the characteristics of the resolver system components were specified. From the defined resolver system components characteristics, drawings were prepared for summing resistor networks and for a trimmed resolver of Mk 4 Mod 1 type. In addition, the specifications for the d-c power supply and a-c signal sources were prepared and two transistorized resolver amplifiers were developed, one for the Mk 4 Mod 0 and the other for the Mk 4 Mod 1 type resolvers. The design of the developmental resolver amplifiers is described and test data shown. Also included for comparison are the test data of four different commercial resolver amplifiers. (Author)
