EXCITATION AND DETECTION TECHNIQUES FOR MILLIMETER WAVE TRANSITIONS.

Abstract

During the past quarter, the electron bombardment ionizer has been improved to the extent that it has been possible to observe an RF electric resonance in hydrogen sulfide. Testing of oscillators against the ammonia maser is con tinuing. Work on the small molecular beam system is reported, and the status of millimeter spectroscopy investigations is discussed. (Author)
