VARACTOR DIODE INDUSTRIAL PREPAREDNESS MEASURES.

Abstract

Efforts were continued on the establishment of a capability to mass-produce a variable capacitance microwave diode. This diode, known as a varactor diode, is a silicon diffused mesa device. Three different package-style varactor diodes were manufactured. Manufacturing operations, flow charts and yield figures are presented. A description of manufacturing operations is given for each type. (Author)
