VACUUM VIBRATOR ION SOURCE.

Abstract

Three different vacuum vibrator sources were designed and constructed. These sources were tested on a single focusing mass spectrometer. A preliminary evaluation of the characteristics of the source, including ion current magnitude, ion current stability, and ion energy spread, and their dependence on arc voltage and arc current was carried out. Mass spectra obtained with the single focusing mass spectrometer are presented. (Author)
