RESPONSE OF SUBMERGED SPHERICAL SHELLS TO INTERNAL BLZST LOADING,

Abstract

This report presents the results of experiments on the response of this spherical shells submerged in water to blast from internal explosive charges, and compares the resuldts with theory. In addition, results of measurements of the underwater shock transmitted from the shells into the surrounding water are reported and these shock intensities are compared to direct underwater shocks.
