DEVELOPMENT OF A CALIBRATED HIGH SIGNAL SOURCE SG-( )/U.

Abstract

The design and performance are discussed of a High-Power RF Signal Source. The signal source covers the frequency range of 40 Mc to 40 Kmc. The RF power output can exceed 100 watts at frequencies below 4 Kmc. Above 4 Kmc the power output falls off. Frequency stability of the order of one part in one hundred million is achieved by locking the system to an ultrastable standard. Pulse, sine, and square-wave amplitude modulation, and sawtooth frequency modulation are provided.
