LAMINARY BOUNDARY LAYER ON A POROUS SURFACE,

Abstract

The problem concerning the decrease of surface friction and the lowering of surface temperature by means of an injection of a small quantity of a gaseous substance onto a boundary layer according to a specific law is taken into consideration. The physical properties of the gaseous substance are nearly the same as those of the cooling agent exerts a great influence only on the flow of the gas in a thin layer next to the wall and does not introduce perturbations in the external potential flow. Then the indicated problem can be analyzed within the framework of the boundary layer theory. (Author)
