ELECTRODEPOSITION OF DISPERSION-STRENGTHENED GOLD - AL2O3 - ALLOYS,

Abstract

Gold - Al2O3 alloys have been electrodeposited with Al2O3 contents up to 4.36 vol. % from electrolytes operating at pH values between 5.0 and 12.0. The dispersion of the Al2O3 in Au resulted in an appreciable decrease in the creep rate at 200 and 300 C. Resistivity measurements showed no change in resistivity compared to that for the pure metal.
