TELEMETRY PREDETECTION RECEIVER RECORDER/REPRODUCER SYSTEM.

Abstract

This volume contains the final engineering reports covering all phases of the design and development of the Telemetry Predetection Receiver Recorder/Reproducer System. The report is divided into three sections: Section 1 Telemetry Predetection Receiver Recorder/Reproducer System report byDynatronics Inc. of Orlando, Florida. Its intent is to describe the technical problems encountered, the solutions to these problems, and the practices employed in design, fabrication, and testing of the Telemetry Predetection System. The development of the Magnetic-Tape Recorder/REPRODUCER AND Predetection Receivers are discussed in individual final reports, which are provided as supplements to the system final report. Section 2 - The over-all project objective with problem breakdown and approach are summarized. The various design approaches to the many complex problems are likewise summarized and illustrated with suitable data to indicate the resulting performance. Principal conclusions reached as a result of the project effort as well as recommendations for future equipment and design are outlined. Section 3 - Development and Manufacture of A 1.5 Megacycle Magnetic Tape Recorder/Reproduce System by Consolidated Electrodynamics Corporation, Pasadena, California, and concludes a program of design, development, and manufacture of a 1.5 megacycle magnetic tape record/reproduce system.
