A PROGRAM FOR THE DETERMINATION OF THE AUTOCORRELATION FUNCTION AND POWER SPECTRUM ON THE IBM 650 TAPE-RAMAC COMPUTER SYSTEM,

Abstract

A program is presented for computing the autocorrelation, or more precisely the autocovariance, function for a set of raw data comprising a stationary time series and, on the basis of these computations, determining the power spectrum. The storage capabilities of the IBM 650 tapeRAMAC system have made this program useful for the analysis of large quantities of data from a variety of sources. Future analyses of data both locally and at other activities may be made using this program. (Author)
