THE EFFECT OF ETHANOL ON PHYSICAL PERFORMANCE IN MICE.
Abstract
Mice were forced to swim to exhaustion after administration of various doses of 10% ethanol intraperitoneally. Doses of 0.0 ml/mouse (controls) up to 1.2 ml/mouse were given. At a dose of about 0.7 ml/mouse, swimming time was significantly increased over controls. Doses of 1 ml/mouse or more depressed swimming time to virtually zero. The results are presented as an example of hormoligosis. (Author)
