FATIGUE BEHAVIOR OF MATERIALS FOR THE SUPERSONIC TRANSPORT.

Abstract

The fatigue behavior of sheet materials subjected to supersonic transport load-temperature environments is being evaluated. In addition to a detailed description of the test program, this report presents extensive data obtained in constant load amplitude tests without contaminants, preliminary data on the effects of contaminants, and preliminary data obtained in evaluations of fuselage and wing root loading histories.
