DIFFUSION OF GASES THROUGH PLASTIC MEMBRANES.

Abstract

Data were obtained on the factors involved in the extraction of oxygen from sea water by diffusion through thin plastic membranes in the hope that these data might be useful in estimating the feasibility of an under sea life supporting gill based on this principle. This is a report of the progress made over a period of one year. Due both to the time limitation and to two errors in the design diffusion chamber, it has not been possible to complete all the experimental work suggested in the original project proposal.
