THE CONSTRUCTION OF A HELIUM-NEON VISIBLE LASER,

Abstract

This report is intended to describe the constructional details of a Helium-Neon visible (6328A) laser which was built at the Institute of Optics. The description can be conveniently divided into three distinct sections, covering the optical, vacuum and electrical aspects of the construction; these aspects are treated in their respective order. In addition, a section is included to describe the operation of the laser, and a figure included which shows some patterns obtained from the laser. (Author)
