DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT, AND FABRICATION OF ULTRAHIGH STRENGTH SOLID PROPELLANT ROCKET MOTOR CASES.

Abstract

The late delivery of critical raw material has affected the schedule dates for the hydroburst tests and shipment of the final two cases. The initial centerbody sections have been successfully shear spun. The welding of the case subassemblies has also been highly successful. The heat treatment study for the rocket motor case will begin now that material for this study is available. At this point in time approximately twenty-five percent (25%) of the program efforts have been completed. (Author)
