RADIO INTERFERENCE MEASURING SET AN/TRM-6(XA-3).
Abstract
The purpose of this work was to extend the frequency range of Radio Interference Measuring Set AN/TRM6(XA-2) from its upper limit of 10 gc to a new upper limit of 21 gc. This purpose was accomplished by the design, development, and prototype production of two additional Calibrator Converter Tuning Units FR-160(XA-1)/TRM-6 and FR-161(XA-1)/TRM-6 that covered the frequency range of 10 to 21 gc and the required waveguide and antenna components for their operation. The added units and components are compatible with AN/TRM-6)XA-2), and the resulting assemblage, which covers the frequency range from 1 to 21 gc, is identified as AN/TRM-6(XA-3). (Author)
