GRAVITATIONAL SMOOTHING,

Abstract

A method of using the acceleration due to gravity to improve range and range rate measurements by the method of least squares is presented. A method of determining radial acceleration from the calculation of gravitational acceleration is included. Some of the limitations of the gravitational smoothing technique are enumerated. (Author)
