AUDIO PULSE CANCELLATION FILTER.

Abstract

An audio pulse cancellation filter is described. The device provides an interference suppression capability for certain cases of co-channel pulse interference in amplitude modulated communication receivers. The circuit consist of an oscillator which is phase locked to the fundamental component of an interfering pulse signal and the necessary delay and pulse generators to provide the capability for adding this locally generated pulse to the audio output signal of the receiver so as to effect a reduction in the amplitude of the interfering pulse signal. Circuit details are discussed and results of tests are presented. (Author)
