Abstract

From wear life determinations conducted at 1000 F on a solid film lubricant composed of lead sulfied, molybdenum disulfide and boric oxide, there was no significant effect due to exposure to reactor radiation. From wear life determinations conducted on a solid film lubricant composed of molybdenum disulfide, graphite, and sodium silicate, there was no significant effect on the 600 and 1200 F wear life characteristics due to exposure to reactor radiation.
