VOID FRACTION MEASUREMENTS IN CAVITATING MERCURY,

Abstract

A method is described for obtaining precise measurements of local density (or void fraction) in an axially-symmetric two-phase flow or of men density in a plane parallel to (or through) the centerline. The application of the method to cavitating mercury in a venturi test section is described. The basic flow measurements resulting are presented. (Author)
