PRODUCTION ENGINEERING MEASURE FOR A KA-BAND INVERTED COAXIAL MAGNETRON.

Abstract

During this report period, six model tubes of the refined mechanical design were built and evaluated. Electrical evaluation data of the six tubes are presented. Oscillation life tests and cycled heater life tests are reported. Results of the anode evaluation program and the areas of further improvement are discussed. Power output capabilities of greater than 100 kw are reported as are the power output versus frequency characterisics of a late model tube. (Author)
