RESEARCH DIRECTED TOWARD THE INVESTIGATION OF SUITABILITY OF THE GLOTRAC TYPE G TRANSPONDER FOR USE IN THE RANGE CALIBRATION SATELLITE.

Abstract

This report covers the results of a study program directed toward determining what modifications in the GLOTRAC Type G Transponder are required to make the transponder suitable for operation in the Range Calibration Satellite (RCS). The results of an analytical study were published in part A of this report. Part B covers a test program designed to test the GLOTRAC transponder beyond the Flight Certification requirements. The report includes test results and recommendations for transponder redesign. (Author)
