NEW TECHNIQUES FOR COMPUTING LORAN MAPS,
Abstract
A preexisting program for plotting section lines of a ship has been adpated to the contouring of LORAN maps. The method is based on approximations of the square of geodesic time difference to avoid singularities at the transmitting stations. Maximum errors are tabulated for a few representative maps.
