ON THE EFFECT OF NEUROHYPOPHYSIAL HORMONE ON THYROID ACTIVITY.

Abstract

The findings did not demonstrate any stimulative effect of exogenous vasopressin on the thyroidal activity of rats, but a suppressive effect was noted when the activity was increased in a cold environment. In a moderate environmental temperature of 20 C, neither stimulative nor inhibitory effect was observed. These results coincide with the histological findings previously reported. (Author)
