STRATOSPHERIC WIND TEMPERATURE AND ISOBARIC HEIGHT CONDITIONS DURING THE IGY PERIOD PART II,

Abstract

The stratospheric wind, temperature and isobaric height conditions of the Northern Hemisphere during the period from January to June 1958 are analyzed in detail. Three month seasonal averages of these quantities and of the correlations between them are computed and presented in the form of hemisphere maps. Zonal averages of various important quantities are also given in tables. A general discussion of the results from the viewpoint of energy and mementum is given briefly. (Author)
