BL-221 70 GC MAGNETRON PRODUCTION ENGINEERING MEASURE.

Abstract

Eleven tubes were built using the final design anode processing and cathode anode dimensions. Tubes numbered 69, 72, 73, 74, and 76 were made available for preproduction testing. Tube number 73 completed the 600 cycle life test requirement satisfactorily. Tubes numbered 69, 72, and 74 plus a spare tube number 76 were tested satisfactorily for all specification requirements except life, shelf storage, and mechanical dimensions. A new hob, B-6, was made. Tube number 78 was completed to test the frequency of this new hob. The frequency was high. (Author)
